ESG Indices and Ratings in which Yapı Kredi is included

Since the establishment of Borsa İstanbul Sustainability Index in 2014, Yapı Kredi has been among the companies listed in this index.

FTSE Russell (FTSE International Limited and Frank Russell Company) confirms that Yapı Kredi is independently evaluated according to the FTSE4Good criteria and meets the requirements of being a component of the FTSE4Good Index Series. Established by global index provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) practices. FTSE4Good indices are used by various market participants to create and evaluate responsible investment funds and other financial products.

Through the reporting conducted by Yapı Kredi in 2020 within the framework of Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI), an assessment was performed in five areas including Female Leadership & Talent Pipeline, Equal Pay & Gender Pay Parity, Inclusive Culture, Sexual Harassment Policies, and Pro-Women Brand. As the result of the assessment, Yapı Kredi obtained a higher score than the global and sectoral average and was entitled to be included in the 2021 Bloomberg Gender Equality Index.

Within the framework of CDP Climate Change and Water Security Programs, Yapı Kredi transparently reports its governance structure, risks and opportunities, corporate strategy and targets regarding these issues. Yapı Kredi has been responding to the CDP Climate Change Program since 2016, and CDP Water Security Program since 2018. Yapı Kredi obtained the A- rating within the scope of CDP Water Security 2020, becoming the financial institution with the highest score in the finance sector in Turkey and was deemed worthy of the 'CDP Turkey Water Leader' award.
